As far as I remember, I built my first scale model when I was around 10 years old in the 90’s. At that time, my conception of scale modeling was just cutting the parts off the sprue and gluing them together. I didn’t paint my models because airbrushing was such an advanced concept for me, and I was probably too shy to ask for advice to the shop owner. Then I had my Warhammer 40k period when I was in junior high school but stopped building models after that.

I rediscovered the hobby when I was 30, and I found out that the industry had changed a lot. I bought an airbrush and tried to replicate the YouTube tutorials, but the experience was very frustrating. I often bought the wrong product or products I thought were close enough to work but didn’t.

In late 2020, I decided to start Everest Model to streamline the user experience for modelers. I envisioned a single website where modelers can discover new products, find step-by-step tutorials, discuss with other fellow modelers, and find the exact products you need for your next build.

In the future, I will do my best to improve this website, constantly adding new features to better serve the scale modeling community. Please join me by adding new contents, sharing with us your comments, and telling about our concept to your friends. Together we can strive to build the best scale modeling online community.
